Van Ryn's Distillery (HR)The Tourism Grading Council of South Africa has once again awarded Stellenbosch’s Van Ryn’s Distillery a five star tourism rating for their conferencing facilities.

“We are thrilled to receive, for the sixth consecutive year, the Tourism Grading Council’s highest accreditation for conferencing facilities. We have taken to heart the annual feedback from the Council and believe we raise the bar a little higher each year,” said Van Ryn’s brand home manager Fre-Nay Brown.

A jewel in the Cape winelands, Van Ryn’s Distillery offers tours, tastings of their award-winning brandies paired with handcrafted chocolates or Florentines and light meals. A museum collection consisting of some historical Van Ryn’s brandies from the early days of the distillery until present day is on display throughout the tasting room.

“These fantastic offers, coupled with our top class meeting facilities, turn any business engagement with us into a memorable experience,” said Brown.

Meeting facilities available include two boardrooms, catering for up to 15 and 30 people respectively, depending on seating style.  Both are fully fitted for audio-visual presentations.

“Fixed screens have been added in both conference rooms, ceiling mounted projectors were added and the Click Save WiFi facility is now in place, enabling delegates to wirelessly access and present their presentations.”

A third meeting room is the brandy master’s private tasting room called the Paradiso, an old cement maturation tank which has been converted into a unique and atmospheric venue. Luxuriously appointed, it is surrounded by brandy vats and is ideal for intimate meetings or luncheons for up to eight people.

Van Ryn’s serves light meals, artisanal charcuterie and fromagerie, provided by a team of executive chefs.

Not only is the Distillery an entertaining and educational place to visit, its products are continuously internationally acclaimed. In July, the Van Ryn’s Fine Cask Reserve 15 year Old Potstill brandy was awarded the Best Worldwide Brandy trophy at the International Spirits Challenge.
