Additionally, 38 government exhibition bureaus from 24 cities were invited to attend a seminar for leading exhibition cities, where the impact the pandemic had had on them was discussed. It was agreed that, while the industry had suffered a major blow, all cities should support the resumption of exhibitions and meetings under the new normal conditions, share information and learn from each other’s experiences, in order to boost market confidence.

Due to travel restrictions, many foreign guests were unable to attend in-person this year, and instead sent video messages to share their views and ideas for the industry’s growth and way forward. Among these were Mary Larkin, President of UFI; Marco Spinger, International Marketing Director of AUMA; and Aloysius Arlando, President of AIPC.

The event closed with the Golden Five Star Awarding Ceremony and Networking Dinner, where more than 1 000 participants gathered together.
