HOMEMAKERS Expo has announced that the show as you know it is changing.

The Homemakers team said in an announcement: “Home evolved and we need to do the same. After 28 years, HOMEMAKERS Expo, SA’s premier home improvement and lifestyle show, makes way for HOMEMAKERS Fair, it is so much more than just an expo!”

The show will include more interactive activities and exclusive in-show events.

As well as rebranding the event with a new name and event format (which will include more interactive activities and exclusive in-show events), it is moving to a new venue – the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit & International Convention Centre. This is where the first HOMEMAKERS Expo was held in 1994. Since then, the venue has been revamped and offers state-of-the-art facilities, ample parking and incredible views. It is also situated in Midrand, making it accessible to both Johannesburg and Pretoria residents.

The new venue was also an ideal choice because of its layout across four levels, providing a range of indoor and outdoor spaces that can be used to host brand new breakaway and pop-up activities for the Fair.

The venue has been revamped and offers state-of-the-art facilities, ample parking and incredible views.

HOMEMAKERS Fair is also updating the zones it will be featuring to include: Home Improvement; Home Services; Décor; Appliances, Outdoor; Landscaping; Food; Fun; Hobbies; How-To and DIY; Health; Fitness; Artisan and Handmade Products; Fashion and Beauty; Travel and Adventure and Kids Activities.

The HOMEMAKERS Fair organisers add, “We understand the challenge of attending and organising an event during and post the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with our safety officers we have made provisions to ensure we follow all health and safety protocols. This includes monitoring the number of people in each hall, having hand sanitiser stations, compulsory mask wearing and bigger aisles to allow for social distancing.”

The 2021 Johannesburg HOMEMAKERS Fair will run from 26 – 28 March 2021. It’s a family-friendly event, and tickets will cost R100 for adults, R60 for pensioners and R20 for scholars. Parking is R20.
